Dr. Frank Ryan has spent his life with a mind for healing. His mother and aunt were nurses who taught Dr. Ryan the importance of taking care of people, helping them find and nurture their most healthful selves and inspiring them to look and feel their best. It is no surprise that medicine was Frank Ryan’s true calling.

Dr. Ryan was educated at the University of Michigan’s undergraduate program and attended Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he graduated in 1986.  Once settled on his specialty, Dr. Ryan approached his further education and research as he does everything else in life: with total commitment and attention to detail, along with an eye for aesthetics that is not often seen.  

His eight years of post-graduate training at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, University of Missouri and UCLA Medical Center lent years of prestigious experience to this promising young surgeon.  Dr. Ryan was subsequently invited to take part in a burn fellowship at Shriner’s Hospital, a distinction only offered to three other surgeons in the world.

To give back to a world that has been kind to him, Dr. Ryan has removed some thousand gang-related tattoos free of charge. In 2003 he founded The Bony Pony Ranch in Malibu, California. This 26 acre ranch is Dr. Ryan’s home, as well as a place for under-privileged and at-risk youth to excel beyond their current situation. From the success of the ranch came a line of clothing, which is aptly called BPR Clothing, and is sold in high-end boutiques such as Lisa Kline. 

Dr. Ryan is the creator of line of skin care, Dr. Frank Ryan Skin Care. He is also the host of his own radio show on KLSX 97.1 titled Sex, Drugs and Silicone, with a soon-to-be published book of the same name.
